In 1930, more than eighty small airlines came together to form American Airlines Dhaka Office. Colonial Air Transport and Robertson Plane Corporation conceived this flight. The first one was set up in Missouri in 1921.
In 1929, they joined forces to form the Aviation Corporation. After becoming a business in 1930, American Airlines became American Airways. Due to new regulations and the loss of mail contracts, American Airlines changed its name in 1934.
After buying Trans World Airlines in 2001, the company expanded. The DC-3 was made in part with help from American Airlines Dhaka Office. This happened because C. R. Smith, the CEO of American Airlines. And Donald Douglas talked on the phone for a long time.
Smith convinced Douglas to build a DC-2-based sleeper plane despite his reluctance. The DC-2 meant to replace the Curtiss Condor II biplanes that Americans used. The old DC-2 had a cabin that was 66 inches wide (1.7 m). When Smith told Douglas that American was going to buy 20 planes, Douglas agreed to make them.
